I can't say just what it is I feel But it comes on stronger everyday It burns inside just like a blazing fire Never exhales every single day This feeling surrounds me But I know that when I'm with you It makes me want to kiss you Until the day that it will fade The mood is slow But the mind is weak The weakness grows And my mind controls me In this world we live People always giving Orders every single day They tell us that we're wrong And make us wait so long To find our answers every day I'm standing beside me Where the future lies Is where the young man dies Until the woman makes it all ok The mood is slow But the mind is weak The weakness grows And my mind controls me

Bags are at the station It’s a celebration Coming home, coming home, coming home Coming home today Wheels are in motion Sharing my emotion Coming home, coming home, coming home Coming home today It’s alright to miss the one you love It’s ok to know you’re thinking of Childhood fun from all our yesterdays The good Lord knows my brother shows the way Headed from the café Trying to catch a taxi Coming home, coming home, coming home Coming home today Got tickets for the Pirates They’re playing the Giants Coming home, coming home, coming home Coming home anyway It’s alright to miss the one you love It’s ok to know you’re thinking of Childhood fun from all our yesterdays The good Lord knows my brother shows the way

Four Walls 02:37
These four walls holding back the ground These four walls almost lost and found Millions come from all around and over Old folks, young kids, everyone has a place to go A place called home These four walls keep me in from out These four walls help me figure out Problems brewing, smiles looming around And old folks, young kids, everyone has a place to go A place called home Problems brewing, smiles looming around And old folks, young kids, everyone has a place to go A place called home

Come Follow 04:19
She’s a northern city girl Traveling the southern world With a tissue in her hand Following her parents plan Her surroundings look unclear Though her home is still so near From an island yesterday To the famous Garden State She knows wherever she will go Come follow Moved into the neighborhood Doing everything she could To keep away from jealous fools And they’re selfish attitudes It seems that she can get along By herself cause she’s so strong Taking problems off the stage And enjoying each new day She knows wherever she will go Come follow She knows wherever she will go Come follow Share the things you said Lying on your bed looking up Staring at the glass Hoping time will pass through You need more You need more Through her laughter you can tell That she’ll carry on so well In whatever she will do You may choose to do it too Just to see her at her best Standing out from all the rest Still a stranger some may say But you’ll welcome her to stay She knows wherever she will go Come follow She knows wherever she will go Come follow

I Do 06:29
I open up to all the words inside Racing through my mind The painted picture is like a children’s rhyme Of rumors flying high And I wonder who am I, who am I Their immaturity speaks volumes and Turns my red heart blue Insulting her pride and my consciousness With things she shouldn’t do And I wonder who are you, who are you What’s the question Here’s the answer I am ready I do Going nowhere Getting nothing Next to no one I do I do, I do, I do, I do She’s like a puzzle and no pieces fit Yet I can’t resist Lacking a quality that makes her strong She knew it all along It sometimes lingers on, lingers on I like to sympathize although it’s rare Because it’s so unfair Her family structure is like a broken back I want to glue the crack It’s a sad unstable fact, it’s a fact What’s the question Here’s the answer I am ready I do Going nowhere Getting nothing Next to no one I do I do, I do, I do, I do
6.
Pure 04:51
She lays there, I move in closer I take my time, no one’s around And through my cold reflective mirror Her hand is warm, her body is sound And through her gaping bedroom window The sky is gray, a threat of snow I gather all her quilts and blankets I throw them on to keep her warm So pure I’m sure I’ll use my arms To keep her warm And in the future we walk through our place The carpet is white, our shoes are off We’re led away by soft lit candles To one knee, I’ve had enough I do, do you So pure I’m sure I’ll use my arms To keep her warm What is love What is love Tell me what is love What is love So pure I’m sure I’ll use my arms To keep her warm She’s so pure I’m sure I’ll use my arms To keep her warm

I hear it humming around in the distance I hear the horn sounding I see it brushing around in the trees I see the tracks moving But it’s not me It’s just my fantasy And I’m looking for a reason to make it stay Living in a train generation It’s not real but I don’t care Living in a train generation I see it pulling into the station I hear the engine turning I see the smoke floating into the air I smell the coal burning But it’s not me It’s just my fantasy And I’m looking for a reason to make it stay Living in a train generation It’s not real but I don’t care Living in a train generation

Change 03:55
Why does the sun set at night when you are sleeping Why does the moon shine so bright when you are weeping And now we’re mixed in the middle and in between Looking at faces we’ve never seen Step into the light and out again Listen to the voice, it’s over, then Time hurries on My memory is calling for a change Why should it ever come again if the world’s not ready When will it ever start to end, make it all freeze over And now we look towards the sky and we feel the pain Those memories, they’re all the same Step into the fire and out again Listen to the voice, it’s over, then Time hurries on My memory is calling for a change You know it flips the world right over Crashes down and slips right under Try to talk into another Try to hide the thoughts of wonder Why does the sun set at night when the world is sleeping Why does the moon shine so bright when you are weeping Time hurries on My memory is calling for a change

Draw 07:07
I’m sketching pictures of you and me with my pen The images so clear deep within my head And they say introduce me to your lady friend We’ve yet to meet we will right now instead No more wishing to be near you now If I think I’m sure I’ll have you anyhow I cannot talk I cannot call you Can’t spend time cause I’ll adore you I cannot see you I’m not with you When I need you I will draw you Too many rules in reality But nothing’s wrong in my fantasy And they say take me touring through your galaxy But this fantastic ride bears room for her only Put your troubles in a jar and soar Lock it up don’t think about before I cannot talk I cannot call you Can’t spend time cause I’ll adore you I cannot see you I’m not with you When I need you I will draw you Open your eyes Open your eyes Open your eyes… When a man needs a woman You can see it in his eyes Won’t you look up to the sky Don’t ask, do not cry, open your eyes
10.
You got the time to make me feel like loving Even when you’re fifty miles away You got the time to lead me right in front of you But you are out of reasons to want to stay But I won’t fool around I won’t make you frown But my head keeps spinning round and round I’m lost looking for answers away from here No past, no transportation, no time for fear When I’m stuck in the middle I reach for the walls But they’re all closing in I’m trapped, no time to reason the mess I’m in You got the time to show me everything you like Even if there’s nothing that you want You got the time to make the moonlight come alive And send happy thoughts down from the sky But I won’t wear you out I won’t twist or shout But I’m hoping that you’ll figure out I’m lost looking for answers away from here No past, no transportation, no time for fear When I’m stuck in the middle I reach for the walls But they’re all closing in I’m trapped, no time to reason the mess I’m in

I’ve heard that sound before Your hand was knocking at my door You asked permission to come in I was wondering where you’ve been You’re back in my house you were gone Back in my world you belong I wrote you letters all the time You didn’t read them you were fine But I’m not fine I’ve been sitting around Playing absent from the party line Without you But I’ll change my mind, I’ll rush my time I’ll take a wife, I’ll change my life If it brings me to you I want to be there where you are Yet it seems that I’m so far Rip off my age, it’s insincere If I could only gain a year But you’re settled down, you’re on the ground I’m singing songs without a sound Without you But I’ll change my mind, I’ll rush my time I’ll take a wife, I’ll change my life I’m not fine I’ve been sitting around Playing absent from the party line Without you But I’ll change my mind, I’ll rush my time I’ll take a wife, I’ll change my life If it brings me to you

Everwood 05:18
Ten months out of every year In my room you will appear And the summer brings you still A quick delay and eight nights filled A small town you’re living A western state the air is thin And the snow begins to set But it melts by season’s end Would I ever even do it Even if I could go through it Colorado winter in my arms It keeps on tearing me apart Just as cold as you can be And you are staring back at me The only difference I can see That you are trapped in a glass screen Would I ever even do it Even if I could go through it Colorado winter in my arms It keeps on tearing me apart Just one hour give me more Along the lines of twenty-four One last glance before you go I long to be there in the show Would I ever even do it Even if I could go through it Colorado winter in my arms It keeps on tearing me apart Would I ever even do it Even if I could go through it Colorado winter in my arms It keeps on tearing me apart

about

I previously stated, “I hear bass and drums…next step?” Well if some extra punch was needed to get everyone’s attention, here it is. Let me speak to some highlights. “Every Single Day” surrounds you with acoustic 12-strings galore, with prominent percussive off beats, while “Come Follow” jumps right in with a great piano intro followed by a melody that I defy you to stop humming after more than a brief listen. Buddies Jeff and JD are all over this one and everyone is having a good time. “Pure” is both passionate and intense and reveals the true strength and intense and reveals the true strength of this young artist. The majestic and lilting break swirls around until leaving you on yet another satisfied level. “Change” is introspective and surely could be traced to early folk heroes like Phil Ochs, all delivered with a single voice track accompanied by a vintage Guild acoustic. “Draw” is a work that again creates an intense mood and instantly pulls you in. This is a show closer for sure. The “Coast To Coast” album summons a true beginning to what I believe is a promising career for this young singer/songwriter. An artist schooled by yesterday’s traditions and inspired by all that the future has to offer.
